چکیده

Abstract During the immersion quenching process, severe temperature changes and significant differences between core superficial area can give rise to high residual stresses within aluminum alloy thick plate cause subsequent machining distortion of thin-walled part. Reducing stress effectively minimize in In this research, ABAQUS software was adopted simulate internal fields plates Al7055 during pre-stretching processes, sequentially respectively. addition, x-ray measurement method used measure characterize surface plates. The results indicate that medium affects inside significantly process. level which gradually increases as decreases. Further, treatment reduce plate, decreases with ratio increasing. experimental verify feasibility numerical simulation predict status Subsequently, a study for material removal processes carried out based on above studies. reveal part’s degree improves raw plate’s initial quench

Free and Forced Transverse Vibration Analysis of Moderately Thick Orthotropic Plates Using Spectral Finite Element Method

In the present study, a spectral finite element method is developed for free and forced transverse vibration of Levy-type moderately thick rectangular orthotropic plates based on first-order shear deformation theory. Levy solution assumption was used to convert the two-dimensional problem into a one-dimensional problem. In the first step, the governing out-of-plane differential equations are tr...

Simulation of Quenching Process Using the Finite Element Method

This contribution is concerned with modeling and simulation of quenching employing the finite element method. An anisothermal constitutive model formulated within the framework of continuum mechanics and the thermodynamics of irreversible processes is considered adopting two phases: austenite and martensite. A numerical procedure is developed based on operator split technique associated with an...

A simple approach for finite element simulation of reinforced plates

We present a new approach for adding Bernoulli beam reinforcements to Kirchhoff plates. The plate is discretised using a continuous/discontinuous finite element method based on standard continuous piecewise polynomial finite element spaces. The beams are discretised by the CutFEM technique of letting the basis functions of the plate represent also the beams which are allowed to pass through the...

Free Vibration Analysis of Moderately Thick Functionally Graded Plates with Multiple Circular and Square Cutouts Using Finite Element Method

A simple formulation for studying the free vibration of shear-deformable functionally graded plates of different shapes with different cutouts using the finite element method is presented. The aim is to fill the void in the available literature with respect to the free vibration results of functionally graded plates of different shapes with different cutouts. The material properties of the plat...
